Too much taking, too less questions, lags, video quality could be better, but after all it was quite fun. I'm looking forward for the next one :).
had fun on the video blog (vlog?) shame about the lag, but great interaction going on... great to see how far the internet has come!
Hey David and community,
We may need to find another medium for the "Jaffe Cast". So I think it would be great if you guys post others sites that have the same functions as Stickam so we can battle the horrible lag that follows.
www.nowlive.com is one that I know of
How did we break StickCam with 150 people? I mean seriously!

It would be cool if you did it next time by yourself just answering questions.
Hey David, Mango here (real name is Mehdi, i figure i know yours so....) thanks for answering my question.
I found your response really interesting. Especially because I read your blog often and I've come across you talking about wanting to make these epic games.. these amazing experiences that go beyond what you get at the movies or from reading a book. Which by the way is totally where I would like to see games go.
I think its going to be extremely difficult to do that however without more game developers putting more stock into the story of a game. I'm not saying gameplay isn't important, and if you want an epic game you have to have both. Its just that lately in the game industry I'm seeing a lot of focus on gameplay. Its like the holy grail for game developers.. how do you make this amazing game that everyone will always love to play?... and somewhere in that process I feel the story element gets left out. the best case scenario is that you nail it and you give a product with AMAZING game play but I think alot of game developers run the risk of sacrificing story... and maybe that's just the nature of the beast... I mean, maybe that's just the realistic way things are going to have to be especially with big budget games costing tens of millions of dollars.
But I for one still value the story of a game... and maybe I'm the odd one out as someone in the chat room was saying...
I figure unless there's a reason for me to be into these characters, unless I can make some sort of connection,... well then gameplay is like the one night stands of the game industry...
"I had a great time, but I'm just not read to committ, why don't we just keep this casual"
one night stands are great, but i'm getting old Dave, and the older I get the more I'm looking for substance...
anyways... sorry about the long post. Good job on the podcast thingy. hope to see more of it.
cheers,
Mango
Aww man I forgot about it even after reading the reminder early today... :(
I agree with Mango. Having that depth of backstory for one's character along with an immersive world makes the gamer that much more involved. Despite whatever you feel about Black's shortcomings part of what makes that game great for many of us is the atmosphere permeating every level along with the richness of the characterizations.
Eddie
Also, what's up, Oscar?
I agree with Mango and Eddie. Honestly Dave, I think pound for pound, Black is the best Twisted Metal to date. The game play is the most intense in any TM game. It's so much darker and the characters are all fantastic. Pound for pound it's the best ensemble of video game characters I've ever seen.
I know you want to do fun multi player stuff. I'm down for that. But you're a great storyteller man, and I think you should keep doing what you're doing. Great game play with a great story.
I mean, look at God Of War. The fact you were able to come up with all of the twisted shit that Kratos does along with making it an epic, beautiful story makes it one in a million.
But don't lose site of what got you where you are, a unique ability to make the best game play there is, but weaving in a brilliant story. The whole Black subplot of everything happening inside of Sweet Tooth's head is brilliant! Then you just sort of took it to the next level in God of War.
All I'm saying is, go for the big, bad multi player stuff you want to go for, but make sure you've got the great stories (single player) in there because you're a hell of a storyteller and that's what will keep guys who love your games (like me) coming back for more.
Honestly, just go do what you want to do. Just voicing my opinion. As I said before, I know TM PS3 is going to rock the fucking world.

I can't believe I missed this. Even after reading the damn reminder today. Hopefully I'll catch the next one.
I made sure to set my alarm (given it was in the middle of the work day). Go to connect and find my ISP is blocking stickcam. So ended that.

yikes!
jaffe,
what did you think about IRON MAN!?
Man, sometimes you've got really stupid questions...
no kidding
I saw IRON MAN with my kid this weekend and thought it ROCKED!
I liked the way the story unfolded. It was a fun ride. I put this on my Must Own list.
hey No Fear.. I totally agree, IRON MAN was incredible. I can't wait to get it on blu ray... there were so many cool scenes I wanted to see in higher definition.
