ASHAMED TO BE FROM ALABAMA

I LOVE the South. And I LOVE Alabama.

But these recent ads make me ashamed to say I am from Bama.

Just a fucking disgrace.

  4. That is fucked up. I am from Puerto Rico (many people dont know that puerto ricans are in fact US citizens and considered part of the USA) and now work and live in SF programming games. I find this offensive. I mean back home we have many things bilingual. If people from north america go to Puerto rico mostly everyting is given to them in english, even USA employees that are working on spanish speaking facilities are given everything in english just to make it easier for them. Seems fair. But now what about spanish speakers employees going to let's say Alabama for an example. Is not that they dont know english but the truth is in this case tests in english just may complicate things. Here in San Francisco the bus give instructions in chinese, spanish and english. I mean you cant expect everyone to learn english. Damn it, even intruction manuals for products come in different languages. I am saying all these considering PR is part of USA not even they are jut slagging off immigrants but aslso their spanish speaking CITIZENS too. Its just fucked. "DOESNT MAKE SENSE?" Dude...its just wrong that they aired something like that.

  5. Trying my damnedest not to be part of the stereotypes of racism and ignorance in Alabama and this jackass makes a commercial promoting all of it. Ducking idiot is ignorant enough to say that shit and too ignorant to realize what kind of a reaction this causes. I wish this shit had never apeaf out of the state. Disgusting!

  6. Is this what all American political ads are like? Believing in evolution is an insult you spit at people? You can based your campaign on the fact you speak English? Use the entire ad insulting and belittling someone else? Facebook? What a dummy.

It's actually really creepy. I thought my country was backwards.

    I approve of this message.

  7. Fucking disgrace is the understatement of the century. These guys aren't just shameful for Alabama but for the whole country. Hopefully the good folks of Alabama will have the sense not to elect these clowns.

  8. I am from Illinois and am proud to say i have never seen political ads this bad. Dont get me wrong i have seen plenty where candidates blatantly bash the opposition but these are just a disgrace.

Sad thing is one of those people will most likely win, i have met some simple minded people who would actually think some of those ads are good.

  9. wow. the only thing scarier then the possibility of these idiots being elected, is the reality of there being a large enough geographical concentration idiots in existence that can elect these douches.

  10. Between Alabama and Arizona, I'm starting to hate the South. If I had a time machine, I'd go back and tell President Lincoln, "trust me, just let them secede."

  12. That's truly pathetic. I can't believe they would create such ads. These idiots make your country look really bad.

I'm in shock that they would say such things.

  16. In Australia, the only real exposure we have to the internal politics of the U.S. is through satire on shows like Family Guy or The Simpsons.

If any of those ads had been animated, I would have had no idea that they were genuine.

Damn, it feels good to be an Aussie.

  17. Wow, I can't believe I just saw that. That's crazy that he would represent himself in that way so openly. Makes me want to punch him in the face. And seriously the "maybe it's just the business man in me" made it even more annoying considering how many ways one could do to save money.

  21. Wow. Here's a fun fact, America is about the only country on the face of the planet where the majority of it's citizens only speak one language. How did that fuck head of human being even get to the point where there was even a shadow of a chance of him getting into government.

  24. yeah, I live in Huntsville and I must say these commercials are crazy. I have seen most of them on TV and stuff. I have always been ashamed to be from Alabama. We are always stereotyped. And yeah, it's pathetic and yes I am just as ashamed as you are.

  25. I'm from Argentina. I'm Latin of course and even when I don't live in the U.S. things like these really piss me off. Republicans should get some serious lessons about equality of rights. After all, no matter wich language we speak, we are humans and we share the same world. And this kind of sh#t only tear people apart and make hate and discrimination go stronger. I'm glad to see you disagree with bastards like this one.

  26. You Jaffe, they say when in Rome, do as Romans do. I see no reason for anyone to come to the US and not speak English, or at least make an effort to learn it. I know if I moved somewhere where they didn't speak English as the status quo, I'd learn whatever language was such.

  27. I, too, feel ashamed of my state. Especially since some moron like this guy probably will get elected as Alabama veers more to the right day by day.
