LATEST TWISTED METAL UPDATE



#1- TROPHY INFO:
Here is a site that may help out learning how to get the specific trophies you may be having an issue with. Again, IF you feel you've done what you need to do, let me know what you did exactly and I'll check with the programmers and see feel you are doing it the right way. If you are but are still not getting the trophy, then that will be great info for us in terms of trying to fix the bug. Thank you!

Lastly, do note that there seems to be a slight issue with stat tracking for ranked matches. Due to the stats being out of sync, some players have reported receiving trophies earlier or later than they were suppose to receive them. The problematic trophies include: 'Any Car Will Do''Point, Shoot, Kill''A la mode' and'Another Level'. If you do not receive these trophies by the time you've met the requirements, don't stress out. Just keep playing online ranked matches and it will unlock eventually (focus on the requirements for said glitched trophy). Sony and the Eat Sleep Play team are looking into the issue and hope to fix the stats sync and exp problems with an upcoming patch.

    I have 50 kills with each car, won ranked games 30 days straight and have the necessary weapons kills and the trophies have not popped.

    THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE.

  3. Whats the deal with LAG?

    Sadly, the game is downright unplayable since the world wide launch. Ghosting, weapons not registering, kills not registering, weapons going glitchy, horrible framerate drops, games taking forever to launch out of the loading screen, Enemy health not correct, enemy registering +300 damage instantly on you due to lag, ect...

    I'm sorry, but the guy on your team who said world wide P2P was fine... was a liar. Why are people like me with good net connections penalized because someone is on .5 up DSL?

    How the heck are you supposed to play a fast game that requires precision moves, combos and aiming, when the other guy is disappearing, crawling all over the screen, and you can't even hit him?

    Unraked, password locked... I know. But ranked matches are the offical rooms of the game. Something needs to be done to uphold their integrity. Propper netcode that penalizes thoes who unfortunatly have bad connected should and needs to be implemented. Let them fight each other, and give the hand to us who have addiquet net connections please.

    Trophies are glitched

    Met all the requirements 2X, and They still haven't popped. Post above is right, something is wrong here and it needs to be addressed. Something is wrong with the servers, it is not a not knowing how to get it issue, TRUST ME. I have over 100 kills with each car but not the trophy.

    Rank 30 universal unlock from last patch is not retroactive

    2 skin packs under tier II are still locked for me and I've been level 30 for a while. They didn't unlock with the patch.

    Skins

    Besides the not downloading /50 issue, there still is the dark issue with the skins. The issue wasn't dark skins, but a layer getting applied in error and applied as messed up black marks. You can still see this on sweet tooth and warts, but all the cars have it to some degree. SEE:

    The issue ain't not knowing he's there. The issue is it's better for others to gang rape you while you are trying to take care of talon. If someone else attack you, that give Talon a nice wounded animal to pick off easily. Plus his auto-aim MG's are way, way, way overpowered.

    It's going to be work, but the mega's for bot form tooth and for talon need a redesign, especially with a cool down period. You can go 20/30-2 in Talon VERY easily in ranked FFA's just by doing MG health and turbo runs... It's ruining the ground game and forcing people to run interference, which 9/10 will only knock you out of the chance to win, to make sure the talon doesn't.

    Get back online and play some damn games and see for yourself! I have no idea how this wasn't an issue in QA? Maybe next time hire some douchebags to find douchbag tactics?


    I still love the game, but the experience has been going downhill since launch and major issues need to be addressed real soon. Between the horrible lag, my skins missing for over 3 weeks, my trophies not popping correctly, and Talon/Sweetbot abusers in almost every room.... I'm losing hope and patience.

  4. Most trophies are fine, but some are definitely glitched (most probably due to the server sync issue).

    The game is otherwise very good and extremely enjoyable... If only people could successfully get into games online then it'd be great!

  7. Nope, Jaffe. Trophies are definitely fucked, man. I should've gotten my platinum two weeks ago. Point shoot kill, A la Mode, Another Level and Any Car will Do (assuming Axel doesn't count) have not popped up.

    All sales are Final, I h8 poachers and Calypso are all onine trophies that unlocked with zero issues.

    I have at lest 130 kills with each missile, I have at least 10 wins on each game type and i DEFINITELY won over 10 games in each map... But trophies haven't popped and it's been weeks, I've been playing alot.

    I don't know what that 'internal testing' came down to, but either:

    a) you guys were lucky like some guys.
    b) you guys were lucky like some guys.

  9. I don't think anyone should be nerfed. The whole thing with Twisted Metal is if someone is using a naturally superior vehicle whether it be speed, damage, or armor, you worked harder at beating them instead of badgering the developers to change what they themselves thought was perfect. I myself have no issues destroying Talons and Tooths, and I see many other people beat them with ease.

    To all the people who think they are overpowered, awe well and just work harder at beating them. I didn't see anyone complaining in the Twisted Metal 2 when someone used Minion or Mr. Slamm.

    As I stated, I am against altering the things that make the vehicles stand out. Sooner or later people will want another vehicle nerfed (and I've already heard people on the forums talking about which character they are going to nerf next.

    Twisted Metal isn't supposed to be easy. It's hardcore. Id everyone was TRUELY balanced, they would all be basically the same vehicle (stats etc.) with just a model swap.

    So please, on behalf of many players who are actually GOOD at the game, don't make it easier for casual gamers to jump in and whoop an experienced player. Let them work on it and actually try to EARN that high skill level instead of making someone less powerful or weaker.

  11. Trophies are most definitely NOT working. Every single trophy tied to playing ranked games is bugging for me. I have EVERY single other trophy unlocked.

    Point shoot kill - I have at least 110 kills now in each missle category - including sniper. Profile page online and in game confirms this. Hasn't unlocked for a week and a half now since i first hit 100 with each.

    A la mode - I now have 13 wins in EVERY single mode. Profile page online and in game confirms this. Hasn't unlocked for 2 weeks now since if first hit 10 each.

    All sales are final - I meticulously tracked this one. I got my win every week day at 5-6 central (after getting off work) and 11am or so on the weekends. I would first refresh my stats page in game to make sure the win went through, then when it did I would mark my calender. Im at 34 days with wins now, no trophy.

    Im sure im close to another level and I know im close to any car will do. Im just going to assume those arent going to work either.

  12. Well, we know what Hexinexes's main is....

    Again, the problem is not taking down talon. The problem is how he fundamentally changes an entire room to compensate for his egregious advantages. He was never meant to be a gun ship, but that's how he is played.

    When mediocre people can get 20/30 kills and only die a few times, something is wrong. When 90% of the people are the top of the leader-boards only use him as a main, in a game that is supposed to be about balance, something is wrong.

    I can kill and run interference against talon just fine. I can make sure the douche doesn't get the win in FFA games.

    But too often then not that takes yourself out of the action too, and causes you both to have no chance at winning the game.

    But if you don't do it, Talons going 20-5 and gonna get the win with his auto aim mega guns, dodging ability, high AA, and ability to fly all over the map and pick off wounded cars from a mile away.

    Luckily Jaffe tweeted auto aim MG's are going away. Thank god.

  13. I am seeing more sweet bots then ever before since talon has been nerfed. Sweet bots are also way more annoying with there very high health which according to the tutorial is more then regular sweet tooth and its ability to just run away and hide on top of buildings.

    I played one game where the entire opposing team was sweet tooth and every time there health was getting a little low they would run and then come back later with mega guns and almost full health.

    hopefully the mega gun nerf will help with some of this, but sweet bot needs less health.

    One last thing, focus on gameplay glitches first then trophies.

  14. PLEASE FIX THE TARGETING ISSUE THAT DOESN'T ALLOW YOU TO TAKE AIM AT OPPONENTS ON DIFFERENT LEVELS. IF I AM ON TOP OF A BUILDING OR A HILL AND I CAN SEE MY OPPONENT AND THEY CAN SEE ME, WHY IN GOD'S NAME CAN WE NOT SHOOT EACH OTHER??? THIS IS EASILY THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH THIS GAME.

    I have not yer Unlocked Talon since I've only gotten up 1 rank since I've been in Tier 2 and I chose the Eyeball skin.

    Online the character I use mainly happens to be Warthog (Which I earned solo in Twisted mode, for those who will call me out on that) and Roadkill. I dislike playing as Talon because I am much more used to the wheeled vehicles.

    Just to let you know.

    Also I am glad that AA Mega Gun is going away. Kept messing me up in the final boss fight, locking onto everything I didn't want to shoot.

    Be careful, I suggest you spend all your points as soon as you get them and also be sure to spend them on items and cars only. Leave the skins for last unlocks.

    There's issues with point disappearing and if it happens and you didn't unlock a tier car or item, u might be SOL until the next patch unlocks.

    Happy hunting, but after some rounds with a elite Talon player I think you'll see it from our perspective.

    I figure this is worth noting.
    Also, when I switch cars at the garage 3 times in a match it freezes.

    People are setting up shop behind cover, running for health and taking pot shots at 1/2 dead enemies to kill steal and easily win games.

  23. If a game is supposed to play on a PS3, it should play on ANY PS3, not just slims. If it can only be played on slim PS3's, it should be advertised as such. False advertisement of this scale is grounds for a class action lawsuit. I was sold something being told it would play on my system and it doesn't. Simple as that. I have every reason to be pissed off. Not to mention, I am not "unknown". I am putting my name out there because this is a legitimate complaint. Every Playstation system before this was capable of playing ANY game, regardless of which version of the system you own. My main problem is that, with the PS3, when they slimmed it down, they took away too many features and didn't add shit. With the PSOne, they just made it smaller. With the PS2, they made it smaller and added a modem/ethernet card. With the PS3, they made it smaller, took out the card readers, took out half of the USB ports, and took away backwards compatibility. And now they're saying that the fat PS3's can't play the game I've been waiting over a year to play. I got excited when I first heard that they were working on this game. I pre-ordered it and this is what happened. Furthermore, I would not be as pissed if someone would just address this problem. It is obviously not just a few. Everyone I know who has a fat PS3 is unable to load this disk. It is definitely a software issue. Hell, it's been out over a month now and the game is still being worked on. They rushed it out without knowing how the game was even going to work. It doesn't even seem like they had anyone test the game out before calling it a finished product. A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF!

    As for the Axel issue, I am in the U.S. I think Axel should still only be a bonus for pre-ordering. Even for you guys across the pond. :) they should wait until at least a month after it is playable for everyone before they make things like that available.

    Either way, after being ignored on this subject for so long now, I am going to take action. I will not just sit here quietly while these people rip me off.

  26. I am sure that I won a game per day for 30 days. It's March 29th now, I got TM day one, and started this trophy like that Friday (Feb. 17th). Now, I probably messed up early, but I know it wasn't this long. Is there a way that you guys could tell me my progress on this trophy so I know it isn't glitched? If all else fails, if it doesn't pop on Monday, April 2nd I will be mad, as that would be 30 days from March 4th, when I got Warthog. After that I started to own in MP.

    But yeah, please get back to me, this is my last trophy before I get the platinum and it would suck if I was screwed.
