Best of luck with your focus groups, Mr. Jaffe. I just wanted to tell you I'm a huge huge fan of your work, and my dad is too. He got me Twisted Metal 2 when it came out and he got fanatical about that game. Prior to that he hadn't played a game since Pac Man, and TM2 had him up until 5 am some nights. He's pushing 60 now and still loves to play; in fact he bought a PS3 and the only game he has on it is Twisted Metal 2! We played a bit over the Christmas holiday and it brought us right back to when we first played. So if you are making a new Twisted Metal game, I really hope that you can recapture the things that made that game great. I know since it would be on PS3 that people are going to expect lots of bells and whistles and such, fancy graphics, yadda yadda... but I really hope it can also be something my old man can enjoy too. I know living up to the standard of that game will be really tough, but I'm praying that you can make something that just feels fun to play and isn't too overly complex or off-putting to crusty old people like my dad who don't want to learn a bunch of new shit. It will be incredibly tough, but I know that if any guy in the industry can pull it off it'd be you. Best of luck to you and your team.
lol good ol Keebler peanut butter and cheese crackers, the best fuckin snack ever....but yeah the peanut butter paste is supposedly contaminated...soooooo that could have been the last vblog ever =[

Good luck for tomorow be great if you could tell us how it goes.
P.S. seems that kotaku did read your post the other day: "Hopefully, we'll get to see what original God Of War producer David Jaffe saw. Then we can be all "Here is your God of War III preview" and "Here is your vindication, Jaffe" or something along those lines." :P
After I graduate in programming, I'm going to send you my resume and move to Salt Lake City. Hopefully I'll be able to make TMPS4 with you guys...
Good luck with the salmonella!
We're all crossing our toes for your big guy meeting tomorrow. Hopefully everything goes like it should and we will have the announcement in the next couple weeks. Maybe that's just wishful thinking though!
Ah, its good seeing that you guys are working together again. "The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Marcus' rational mind and Needles' fevered insanity descend into a vortex of sinister chaos. The only possible outcome is the total annihilation of anything that stands in their path."
yep definetly sounds like a dave jaffe and scott campbell pairing in the TM world
Good luck on the green light meeting. Hopefully you can tell us about the game soon.
I was wondering if you can go into more detail about how the focus group/testing works? Like, do you just choose random people? College students? Different age groups? Just family and friends? Do they get paid to participate? Do they actually play the game or just get shown footage? What type of questions are asked? What kind of data is gathered? How does their information impact the development of the game? Etc. It would be awesome if you can give more information about focus groups, if you think it is effective, and how is it different than play testing and which is more effective.
ITS TWISTED METAL!!! HERE I HAVE PROOF, http://www.ps3center.net/news/2186/jaffe-holds-focus-group-for-new-game-accidentally-reveals-title/ its twisted metal wooohoooo!
