How useful is focus testing to you? In most areas of marketing it always seems to be a force for homogenising content so it pleases the most and offends the least and winds up, at best, bland, and at worst, irrelevant.
Neither of those words are things I'd say about your games, have you avoided focus testing before? Or do you select groups who actually know a thing or two about games?
Hope you get feedback that helps you with the development of your game. Looking forward to the unveiling of it.And uhhh keep it cool and if your bored heres a funny song by some welsh doods: The Assumption Song
I can't describe in words how excited I was to hear about the focus group today. It makes me very confident that your meeting with Sony went well, and that you are finally moving things forward with your new project.
If you need some more focus groups participants, you know where to find them. We're spread out all across the country.
No pressure, but we're all on the edge of our seats. But you already knew that! Finally, despite what some fans might tell you, you don't have to rush anything, take as much polish time as you need and we'll be waiting with open arms. Thanks!
k it works ahahah..just wanted to stop and say thanks for all the hard work u put into your games i started being a fan of your work after god of war..then i searched your name and came to realize you created twisted metal (i did not know when i wuz a kid cuz all i could think of is how fun twisted metal wuz..scratch that i meant IS, and cookies) and im lookin forward to the new game your working on and god of war 3!

SHHH! Stop telling people about things, people can get in trouble if the secret gets out and everyone says, "Well, Jaffe said this and Jaffe said that".
Just STFU and wait for the announcement like the rest of us.
How does one get the opportunity to do these focus tests? Not just necessarily on your games but games in general.

Hey! Nice to see you doing some work, Jaffe, even though the video was very brief! That focus testing doesn't look very fun. Maybe it is!
ReplyDeleteYou should do a video talking about the process of focus testing! I think it would be interesting!
