Anyway,I really want to chat with ya'll about my issues with GAME SHARING and DLC DAY ONE/ON DISC stuff. But fuck video for now, I'll just use text. Also wanna show some of the amazingly cool DARKSIDERS toys/schwag that the game's lead designer Haydn Dalton sent me. He also had Joe Mad sign the stuff! Holy cow! Will post pics and do my write up this weekend.
For now, just saying hey and letting ya know why the posts have been so spotty this week. Will look into the YOUTUBE issues as well when I get a sec.
Ok great weekend! Talk tomorrow or Sunday!
David
ps. VIDDLER crashed on me too when I went to process the video so it's gotta be on my end. An update to my software maybe?

Oh man...that sucks. Hopefully it's easily fixable because I enjoy watching the blog vids.
Eager to hear your opinion on day one DLC too. I think it's kinda sketchy in my opinion.
No worries on the video, thought I do hope that it sorted out. And honestly, text is better than nothing so keep up the good work and such.
You should give one of those Flip Cams a try David. Might be a good alternative to your webcam stuff.
Amazon usually has a pretty good deal on them.
I'm wondering if it might be this?

Obviously Apple's had a pretty public antipathy towards Flash (personally speaking, probably for good reason) and this is one of the reasons why. I don't know if that's what's going wrong specifically though.
I'm not a Mac user but I hear there's a way to record via iMovie or something and export it using that? I don't know if that will work for you but I guess that's something to try if you haven't already.
Unfortunately I don't have a Mac (I might in the future) so I can't personally speak to it like I might be able to if it were a PC.
About on disc 'DLC'.
I don't have a problem with it if the price of that game at retail was lower ($20-$40?).
Many ppl including me feel that the $60 cap is the max price for a large Blu-Ray game on disc.
I know this is not relative since back in the days of the Genesis and Snes, games were this price as well and dev costs are way over that now.
But many forget this or just don't care sadly.
I think it's a great idea for having exclusive content on the disc that needs an unlock code (supplied with a new copy of the game).
This would definitely help sales and the used game buyers who got it for cheap need to buy this extra stuff from the PSN since the code has probably already been used.
I also have an issue with calling this on disc stuff 'DLC'.
I think that's the main problem. Ppl feel duped if they think they are getting a real download no matter the value or the fact that they might have already enjoyed $60 worth.
This type of content should be Premium Locked Content and should be highlighted as different from full DLC.
That's my opinion anyway.
If you are using Snow Leopard then you shouldn't really need any 3rd party software. Simply launch Quicktime X. Go to the menu bar, File >New Movie Recording. Once you are done hit stop and go to the menu bar, Share >Youtube. Done.
I feel your pain man, I'm dealing with the dreaded YLOD thanks to my cat laying next to the vents on the PS3. I would check to make sure that you have the latest JAVA updates, that may help.
Are Darksiders toys coming to stores? Can't wait to see 'em.
Man, that sucks. I hope the video get's sorted out. I really look forward to your vlogs.
Another reason to become a game designer....they get TONS of COOL SHIT! Looking forward to seeing your Darksiders Haul!
So will we get to see more of the new game before E3 or only at E3?
Just trying to manage my expectations and excitement level :).
PS. How's are your Neil Strauss "gaming" skills coming along? You out there chatting up the fairer sex, or too submerged in crunch time?
Im eagerly awaiting your comments on Game sharing. I know I dont support gamestop or any used game reseller, but I do trade games, straight up, through internet mediums mainly due to I can't afford buying every game I want. Don't get me wrong, I do purchase a good deal of new games (4 so far this year). Yet if I can trade ones a dont play for ones I want to play, it seems like a win-win. However, I can see how a developer or producer of games would frown on this type of activity, but I guess its the less of two evils, in that I dont support used-resellers. Like I said, I would love to buy every game I want, but sometimes the pocket books just doesnt run that deep. Im intrigued if this is the same activity, that you are going to speak of.

Over the years the Breitling has built a solid reputation and is now known as the “world’s oldest chronograph.” During the 1950’s and 1960’s sub-collections like Breitling Windrider were released. The Navitimer Montbrillant is named after the factory in which this chronograph was first made. The Bentley Motors design is 40’s inspired and comes with a 38mm case, while the Navitimer World is one of Navitimer Watches ever made, measuring 10% bigger than the Navitimer.
