You and me are both stuck in the same boat.It seems like everyone has been getting really sick this week.
Take your time with the contest,I think it's really cool that you're doing it for the fans. It's really awesome some of the stuff people made to show their loyalty to the Twisted metal franchise.
hey you guys should consider makina a level editor post launch or something in that mind set for twisted i seriously think that would be awesome! PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT! (im gonna buy it day 1)
Level editors are great! Even a basic one with a dozen or so blank arenas and tons of props and pickups for us to place where we want. Then the ability to customize which characters we want to battle with and their difficulty levels. Not that you don't have enough on your plate. I can't wait for this game as it is, but Black as well? That's insanely awesome!
Hey dude. Here is an idea in case you feel you want to ugg..."compensate" the folks that might have been very anxious to hear the outcome of this contest: aside the cool stuff you are giving away, maybe a few people could get TM copies right after it launches, signed by none other than daCriminal
The latest- and best ever!- Twisted Metal hits the PS3 in 2011! Scott Campbell and I are directing and lead designing it and the amazing team at Eat Sleep Play is creating it! Online multiplayer is a huge aspect of the game along with the most robust single player/co-op play the series has ever had! Plus we're doing live action cinematics!?! WTF!?!? We hope old fans love it and new fans discover the fun of the series for the first time! Look for it in 2011! Click the picture above to see our launch trailer!

PLAYING:SPACE MINER
This is Asteroids meets RPG grinding meets Sinistar= crazy addictive, super polished, really fun iphone game. This is taking up the vast majority of my gaming time as of late.
PLAYING:DEAD SPACE 2
Have not jumped into MP yet but really loving the single player. The in game storytelling is just fantastic!
PLAYING:WORDS WITH FRIENDS
Playing this like a mo-fukah! I missed out on the whole 'play by email' thing back in the day but I imagine this is kind of what it was like. And it's freaking great! Also, just a great interface and user friendly experience which- given how 'meh' the competition is in this genre- really can not be underestimated.
LISTENING TO: TRON SOUNDTRACK
Yes it's been out for a while, yes I am still listening to it and working to it! This should have at LEAST gotten an Oscar nomination. WTF?!? Great stuff! Can't decide if I dig this or Social Network as best soundtrack of 2010....
WISHING FOR CHANGE: THE ACADEMY AWARDS
Big movie fan, as many of ya'll know. Grew up loving the Oscars and wanting to win one. But damn, this show is fucking LOST IN THE WOODS. This last Oscars was abysmal both cause of Franco AND the overall writing of the thing. The days of this show 'meaning' something are long gone, Academy. Stop trying to make changes in order to reclaim your glory days and instead regroup and redesign to appeal to your fan base: true movie lovers. If that means you end up with a loved, respected show (that still drives movie buffs to the flix before the awards) BUT a show that does 50% less ratings, so be it. I agree the Oscars needs a reboot, but ya'll keep going in the wrong direction: it's not about attracting younger people...it's about embracing the movies. That way movie lovers- old AND young- will show up. But this balancing act ya'll are struggling to pull off makes no sense.
READING: THE HANGMAN'S DAUGHTER
Only a few chapters in but DAY-UHM! The gore is NASTY ASS in such a great, 'mouth open while reading in amazement' sort of way. Good stuff so far...curious where this is going.
GETTING JAZZED FOR: SAN DIEGO COMIC CON
This is my FAVORITE SHOW of the year, hands down! Hotel rooms open up for reservations this week so my mind has turned to those 4 rocking days in July where all of downtown San Diego turns into geek central! So excited!
EAGERLY ANTICIPATING: MORTAL KOMBAT!
One of my favorite franchises of all time! Bring it on BOON! TOASTY!!!!:)
PLAYING: THE SECRET OF GRISLY MANOR
Fun, MYST like adventure game on Iphone/Ipad. I like this game for three reasons: 1) a few really smart, 'oh man- that's clever!' style puzzles...2) nice to see a TRUE adventure game versus all of this 'hidden object' stuff that- while fun- are NOT adventure games! ...3) Damn thing was made on GAMESALAD, a very easy to use game creator and I think that's super cool that a 1 man operation can put out a fun game using such a simple to use tool!
PLAYING: WILD ONES
Nice, free to play (with lots of micro transactions) WORMS like clone on FACEBOOK. I'm not a mega 'build a city/farm' kind of gamer...but this is more of a REAL game that plays in real time....I'm digging it! Have not spent a dime tho...need to figure out the psychology behind that....
OBSESSIVELY WATCHING:THE WEST WING
Watching from Season 1 all the way to the end on Itunes/Apple Tv. My parents and brother loved this show but I was only peripherally aware of it. For some reason I can no longer recall, I started watching the pilot a few weeks back and now every free moment I get is spent with the staff of the Bartlett administration. Season 2 lost a bit of steam tho...Just starting Season 3, hope it picks back up!
Why I Came Back:
As some of you know, I took a 3-4 month hiatus from posting on the net. It was really good for me and I was glad I did it. I'm back cause I missed the connection with people who play and love and support our stuff, as well as with the general online gaming and geek community. And I'm back because after seeing this Youtube Clip with Kevin Smith last month or so, it occurred to me that I was being an ungrateful prick focusing on the haters and neglecting the folks who have always been so supportive and so kind to the work we've done. So thanks Mr. Smith! And thank you guys/gals who have always been so kind to me and the teams I've worked with and the games we've put out.
And the Free Games Go To:
Herc08,iSixen, and KenWicklein (twitter ids) will each be getting a free copy of our new game, once it becomes available to us to give out (be it download code or disc, depending on final format). Congrats ya'll!
THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE...peeps who follow this blog :)
