This is the game I directed/lead designed that is currently running on Playstation Network! The critics pretty much hated it but it has its fans and I am one of them! I'm super proud of this thing and I think it's a blast! Hope to see ya online while it's still alive :).
We've officially shut down The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency. I am almost certain it shall rise again one day in some form or another but at least as far as ver 1.0 is concerned, 'She's dead, Jim'. And I'll miss her. What a great team, a great company, and a great experience. Thanks for everything, Bartlet Jones! And thanks to Sony for the opportunity to launch our little adventure; y'alls faith in us remains so appreciated! Y'all rock!

Can't say capital letters offend me but it does come off as lazy writing. Caps for emphasis is useful to get your point across but used without any purpose is useless and potentially confusing as in the screaming example.

When you on a forum a lot like me, ya it gets bothersom. It disrupts the flow of normal discussion and conversation. It sux reading a WOT in all caps with little grammer or punctuation. It's just being lazy and it is still considered rude.
It's also a sign of communicating in an immature way so the OP loses some respect.
So if your on a forum trying to have an intelegent conversation and you want people to respect what your trying to say, use proper grammer and punctuation.
As an educated people I feel we need to bring owrselves up to this level.
NOW THINK ABOUT IT WASNT WAT I JUST SAID BETTER TO READ THAN A WOT THAT DOSN'T FLOW AND LACKS THE PROPER CUES IMPLEMENTED INTO THE WRITTEN LANGUAGE THAT HELP US WITH FLOW AND TEMPO OR WOULD YOU RATHER READ POSTS LIKE THIS ALL DAY.

Two things:I was not going off on folks who want proper punctuation and decent enough grammar. I was bitching about folks who choose to equate CAPS with yelling. To me, this is brainwashing of the worst kind. There is no correlation between seeing capital letters and being yelled at. It is simply something- like the word FUCK or SHIT- that has been drilled into our heads (and in this case, it didn't take long) that we jump all over when someone does it without really thinking why it actually bothers us, if it indeed does.
People wonder why I cuss so much. There are a few reasons but one of them is that I think folks who get upset by words are a bit too tightly wound for my tastes so I try to either loosen them up or simply offend them to the point that they leave :) And it's fun to watch them get all huffy over a word :)

Jaffe: what's your opinion on the on rails flying levels in Gears 2? Do you still consider those 'buttery smooth'? I was having a blast up until that point...
I understand the reasoning behind the inclusion of these type of segments (like the Gryphon sequence from God of War 2) to vary up the gameplay, but when they feel slapped together like the Gears 2 flying levels do, I find it just makes you yearn for the regular gameplay instead.
Hi Jaffe, I really admire your work, but I just saw one commentary you did where you talk about the mother of someone sucking one part of your body. Well, look at yourself and think why are you talking like that, too much anger, it was totally unnecessary to use those words. Dont pay attention to people who tells you that talking like that is cool, it is not, and it is not good for your physical and mental health ether. I dont think you'd like to see one of your children using those words ever in their life.

The whole thing about capital letters = yelling is just stupid. To think someone is yelling just because they type in all caps is one of the highest levels of idiocy. Maybe the person typing in all caps just wants to have you pay attention a little more to what they typed, or even wants to be IN YOUR FACE a little more, as if writing text just isn't enough.
Good thing we don't have the option to make our text in a bigger point font or make our text bold or in italics because we'd abuse the shit out of that right about now, hahaha.

On blogs like this one, or Kotaku, I only use caps to emphasize words, not to "yell at anyone". I've never really heard of people being upset by capital letters until now. But I agree with Avenard that it's annoying when people switch between uppercase & lowercase.
And my opinion on people upset by capital letters is this: if you're that upset of capital letters in blogs or forums, maybe you shouldn't read those blogs or forums!
Also, people probably use capital letters when they don't know how to bold or italicize their words. It's pretty easy: just do "less than symbol" b "greater than symbol" for bold or "less than symbol" i "greater than symbol" for italics before a word, and "less than symbol" "back slash & b" "greater than symbol" or "less than symbol" "back slash & i" "greater than symbol" after a word. I can't type the actual symbols because then it will think I want to bold and italicize a bunch of words! But some sites don't support HTML tags, so this might not work on those sites.

I totally disagree with the showoff comedian in this video as he does not seem to have any common sense and swears in an attempt to get his point over. It is very tiring to read whole phrases in capital letters. The mis-use of this is usually indicative of people that are lacking in self confidence and expression.
I totally agree with what was said here-after although the repetitive use of the word "fuck" is just as bad as people that inappropriately use caps.
